Check-list for lawyer: work permit in Ukraine

For obtaining the work permit for the employment of the foreigner by the Ukrainian company Ukrainian lawyers shall perform the following:

1. Obtain the documents and data according to the list.
2. Check the compliance of the registered business activities with the required ones for employment of the IT-stuff.
3. Draft and get:
   1. Draft of the labor contract (if necessary).
   2. Application of the Ukrainian company-employer.
   3. Power of attorney (if necessary).
4. File documents to the “TSNAP”.
5. Monitoring of the decision of the Employment center (according to the Ukrainian Law – within 7 business days).
6. Payment of the fee for the work permit in Ukraine:
   1. Notify the employer (company) about its obligation to pay the fee for the work permit within 10 business days from the date of the Employment center’s decision.
   2. Get from employer (company) the wire transaction confirmation.
7. Obtain the work permit in Ukraine.
8. Control of the execution of the labor contract with the foreigner within 90 calendar days from the date of issuance of the work permit in Ukraine.
9. Filing to the Employment center certified by the employer the copy of the labor contract with the foreign employee withing 10 calendar days after its execution.
10. Scheduling the day of prolongation of the work permit in Ukraine.
11. Report to the chef.
12. Obtaining the temporary residence permit in Ukraine (if necessary).
