The opposing party of our client first filed appeals with the Kyiv Court of Appeal and subsequently with the Supreme Court against the 2021 decision of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv on the dissolution of marriage. The purpose of these appeals was to annul the divorce four years after it had been granted, which could have significantly affected the rights of relatives of one of the parties.
Our attorneys submitted motions to the Supreme Court, providing arguments as to why the court decisions could not be reviewed for a number of legal reasons.
As a result of the case review, the Supreme Court dismissed the opposing party’s cassation appeal.
