Lawyers of the law firm Modus Zilver admitted in court the legal fact that a married couple (foreign citizens) are the parents of a child born through the use of assisted reproductive technologies: the court decision was issued by the Darnitsky district court of Kyiv on 13 November 2024 (we do not provide a link to the decision).
Such judicial recognition is required for those genetic parents who live in countries (e.g. Germany) that do not recognise assisted reproductive technologies (IVF), and therefore the relationship between the genetic parents and the child must be confirmed (in addition to the child’s birth certificate and other documents) by a court decision establishing the fact that the couple are the parents of a child born with the help of assisted reproductive technologies.
