Under a court decision, the child’s father was ordered to pay child support as well as maintenance for the child’s mother until the child reached the age of three.

While agreeing to pay child support (there was also a separate court decision regarding alimony), the father did not agree with the obligation to pay maintenance for the mother. The reasons included a disproportionate financial burden on the parties and other relevant circumstances of the case.

Our lawyers joined the case at the stage of filing an appeal. After gathering the necessary materials, the attorney filed an appeal, which was successfully upheld by the Kyiv Court of Appeal‘s decree.

Result: the father is required to pay child support only, in line with his position.
