Our lawyers obtained the annulment of the marriage: in the case No. 754/4992/23 of the Desnyansky District Court of Kiev on 23 November 2023 a decision was taken which satisfied the claims.
The recognition of a marriage as invalid (annulled) is particularly relevant in cases where the marriage was contracted with a foreigner for the purpose of obtaining the right to reside in Ukraine (to obtain a temporary residence permit). And this is due to the fact that, unlike divorce (dissolution of marriage), recognition of marriage as invalid (annulled) protects each party from attacks on its property by the other “spouse”.
