To this end, our lawyers participated (as listeners) in a webinar on “Strong Customer Authentication in Open Banking”, which took place on 7 March 2024. The webinar was organised by the Open API Group, and the partners and speakers were the provider of strpng authentication solutions Wultra (Czech Republic) and the provider of a set of open banking solutions GD Next (Switzerland).
Strong Customer Authentication (“SCA”) is regulated by the EU Payment Services Directive (“PSD 2”) and NBU Resolution No. 58 of 05.03.2023.
The new rules for enhanced user authentication will become mandatory for the Ukrainian financial sector from August 2024, so we recommend that Ukrainian financial institutions prepare themselves from both a technical and legal point of view.
